We have different kinds of registry: provisional (ONE YEAR), permanent, dual, temporary registry and some other services according to needs of the Ships and crew

SAFETY AND SECURITY OF THE NAVIGATION

We are responsible for safety and security of the marine environment and human life. So, we make surveys to our ships and issue the corresponding statutory certificates besides of the monitoring and control of the fleet.

ENDORSEMENTS FOR SEAFARERS

We verify the validity of Certificates of Competency and issue endorsements for seafarers working on ships registered under this Administration.

PRESENCE IN WORLD SEAS

We are in the world seas through our Maritime Deputy Registrars placed in different locations of the world, they will give you information about ships registration and seafarers endorsement.

PRESENCE IN WATERWAY PARAGUAY-PARANÁ

We are also in the waterway Paraguay-Paraná with a lot of advantages for ships registry and seafarers endorsements.

Registro Internacional Boliviano de Buques (RIBB), is a Technical Agency dependent of the Defense Ministry that seeks the Fluvial, Lake and Maritime Navigation Policy of the country since 1975 (DL. No. 12684), consequent with its Exterior Policy to exert its right of use of the sea and its maritime condition in all the world seas, pursuant to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea in its Articles 91 and 94, signed in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on December 10th of 1982, subscribed by Bolivia on November 27th of 1984 and ratified by Law of the Republic No. 1570 of July 12th 1994.

Therefore, according to a State Policy, the country decides to maintain a "OPEN" Vessel Registry, within a national strategy

UNCLOS

Bolivia is a Flag State whose functions are supported by Articles 87, 90, 91 and 94 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)

MARITIME CLAIM

I. Bolivia declares its inalienable and indefeasible right to the territory that gives access to the Pacific Ocean and sea space. Article 267. State Constitution

RIBB performs the role of Flag State on behalf of Bolivia in the maritime area and the waterway Paraguay - Parana
